Xiang Shouzhi: A Bodhisattva Heart
有一年在上海搞演习时，保密室一位叫万东宝的保密员在首长的文件袋上作标注时，竟然将首长的姓氏写成了“项”字。这确实是一件不应该发生的低级错误。事也凑巧，偏偏就没有一名工作人员发现，从而纠正这个错误，直到把文件袋送到将军手上被将军自己发现。
Wan Dongbao is a member of the confidential room. One year, during an exercise in Shanghai, he wrote the chief’s surname as “Xiang” when marking on the chief’s document bag. It’s really a very rookie mistake that shouldn’t have happened. As it happens, none of the staff found out and corrected this error until the document bag was delivered to the general and found it by himself.
在首长身边工作，居然把首长的姓氏写错，这事可大可小。别说是首长，就是平常人也会不高兴，甚至发火的。更何况，这事又发生在军事演习这么严肃的工作中。

“把保密员喊过来！”知道自己犯了错误的万东宝来到首长面前，头都不敢抬。将军问，为什么把我的姓写错了？万东宝怯怯地说，自己不知道首长的姓是哪个字。

Xiang Shouzhi didn’t delve into Wan Dongbao’s explanation, but said earnestly that comrades of the military region organs must establish a rigorous and meticulous work style. He said that it’s a small matter to write his name wrong. However, it’s really dangerous to fight in the war with a sloppy attitude. In the history of warfare at all times and in all countries, there are many lessons to be learned from carelessness. We must learn from them!
为了防止万东宝思想压力过大，细心的向守志又让秘书事后找万东宝谈谈，让他不要背上思想包袱，吸取教训就好。
